Integral Missions and Church Mobilization

This program is very important for EFZ as Integral mission is the proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel.

EFZ understands that it is not simply that evangelism and social involvement are to be done alongside each other. Rather, in integral mission our proclamation has social consequences as we call people to love and repentance in all areas of life.

And as such, our social involvement has evangelistic consequences as we bear witness to the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. Church mobilization is pivotal as it is the act of mobilizing a local church to respond to its needs of the community in which it is based. EFZ works with its members by means of issue focused mobilization as a way to respond to specific issues such as resource for mobilization and HIV/Aids.

In this case EFZ member pastors are envisioned to carry out integral mission and in turn they envision the congregation. This welfare approach sees the church responding to the needs of the community. The common elements of mobilization include; envisioning pastors, setting up a core team to manage the initiative, providing training to volunteers and supporting the volunteers.
