About UsHistory The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) is a mother body of Christian denominations, local churches, Para church organizations, mission agencies and individuals. EFZ was established in April 1964, for the purpose of providing fellowship among the evangelical missionaries serving in Zambia. It is registered under the Registrar of Societies in Zambia as a non-profit organization, and seeks to advance the Kingdom of God through advocating for social justice through networking at both national and international levels as well as encouraging community participation at grass root levels. Membership to the fellowship is based on the applicant’s adherence to the fundamental doctrines of the evangelicals and the fulfillment of the membership requirements. The applications are discussed by the Executive Board and acceptance into membership is ratified by the General Assembly. The fellowship has grown from a small group of less than 10 missionaries, to 220 members in December 2010 representing a wide membership that translates to more than 5,000 points of presence countrywide in terms of congregations and church based organizations. The scope of the purpose of existence has undergone several reviews in order to reflect the aspirations of the wider body. The programs have been expanded in order to make the fellowship more relevant to the needs affecting the nation in the fulfillment of its prophetic role of being the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Vision EFZ exists to identify, empower and mobilize evangelical churches and mission agencies for the effective evangelization and transformation of Zambia. EFZ Objectives
