We Have Faith...Climate Justice Now!

Therefore, Zambian Youth Movements/Groups, combining the Faith Based organizations such Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ), Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) and Zambia Episcopal Conference (ZEC) and the Zambian Youth Network Organizations working on environment and climate change have combined their efforts for COP 17 in a Pan African campaign dubbed ‘We Have Faith-Act Now for Climate Justice’.
We have planned joint activities focusing on awareness raising and advocacy as part of this campaign. To date, training workshops have already been rolled out in Chipata and Livingstone. One main joint activity is the African Youth Caravan. The caravan will start in Kenya and travel by road through several Eastern and Southern African Countries including Zambia en-route to Durban.
Youths from several African countries will board the caravan carrying the slogan of the campaign, ‘We Have Faith – Act Now for Climate Justice’ believing that the COP 17 in Durban can find a lasting and sustainable solution to protect people and the planet from climate change.
The Caravan is set to arrive in Zambia via Chipata in a week! 14 November 2011, where they will have a event/show. It will proceed to Lusaka on the 15th and on 16th November the Barclays Sports Complex will host the “Green Blaze” Climate Change Concert. On the 17th of November the Caravan moves on to Living stone where they will have another event.
Join the movemen! ACT NOW for Climate Justice!
